In today's data-centric world, advanced analytics has become the driving force behind better insights, innovation, and informed action. TDWI research indicates sustained interest and investment in advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning. This includes putting models into production and ensuring that many models can be operationalized. Additionally, there is growing interest in emerging areas such as explainable AI and ethical considerations surrounding responsible AI.
Of course, there are other emerging trends as well, including the use of generative AI for building data and analytics applications. Although 16% of respondents to a current TDWI survey are currently using large language models, more than 30% are planning to use them in the near future. There are also algorithmic developments that are worth paying attention to as well as advances in certain core areas of AI such as vision, image generation, and natural language processing.
Join TDWI’s VP of Research, Fern Halper, Ph.D., as she discusses what’s ahead in advanced analytics. Topics include:
- Machine learning and deep learning advancements including generative AI
- The rise of prompt engineering
- Other revolutionary use cases across industries
- The importance of explainable AI, ethics, responsible AI, and AI governance
- New algorithmic developments
