Relational and Nonrelational Data Management

December 1, 2021

Prerequisite: None

James G. Kobielus

Senior Director of Research for Data Management

TDWI

Relational databases continue to dominate enterprise computing, but nonrelational data management approaches—especially such NoSQL approaches as document, key-value, wide column, and graph databases—have established robust footprints for many use cases.

In this session, TDWI’s James Kobielus will discuss trends in the market for solutions that unify storage, management, and manipulation of relational and nonrelational data. He will focus on innovations in converged data architectures that offer multimodel support for agile management of unstructured, semistructured, and other new nonrelational data types in mobile, edge, streaming, Internet of Things, hyperledger, and other emerging use cases.
