Five Steps to Faster Insights, Agile Data Architecture, and Becoming an Intelligent Enterprise

Organizations today have to navigate changes they didn’t anticipate even six months ago. The usual reports and usual data are not enough to allow organizations to sense what’s happening now and develop insights rapidly enough to respond proactively and shape thefuture. Traditional business intelligence, ETL, and data warehousing are holding organizations back; it takes too long to prepare new data for existing systems to support innovative uses of data that befit an intelligent enterprise. Yet, simply adding new cloud-based tools and data platforms for new requirements while older systems grind onward is a recipe for expensive confusion. What can organizations do to establish a better strategy? How can organizations deal with the pain points?

In this session, TDWI’s David Stodder will examine recent research into where organizations are now and where they need to be to gain faster data insights and establish an agile data architecture that can handle expanded self-service business analytics, data visualization, and AI/MLthat drive an intelligent enterprise. Prior to Incorta, Mohamed worked at Apple, where he led a global team of more than 250 internal software developers and system analysts who built state-of-the-art enterprise services and applications for Apple’s internal human resources, compensation, scheduling, and communications functions. Before Apple, Dekhil held several leadership roles at Hewlett Packard, including that of chief technologist for strategic innovations at HP Labs.
